Granny's gone and done it again

@campingshaws

not sure if you knew but Netflix has a new vikings series out. Takes place about 100 years after Ragnar and Legethra.
I saw that! I’d want to watch the original first bc I think I missed the last season. And I just loved it the first time.

I restarted new girl again yesterday for the millionth time. 😂

I cant remember anyones Bday. Makes me feel bad because they wish me a happy and I dont know when theirs is.
Let fb tell you.

Drs say I have dementia but I think they are wrong.
I've never been able to remember birthdays, at least not in time to send a card or anything. I remember my twin brother's. And my son's, the day after Christmas. Not my daughter's, mid-July. I usually remember a few days later. Dates just aren't significant to me.

I never got to do 4h. I think my parents didn't want more animals.
If anyone "out there" is even remotely thinking about 4H, or knows someone whose parents "don't want more animals," let them know that you don't need animals to join 4H. Some of our more active (and big prize winning) youngsters did canning, baking, flowers, sewing, even small motor repairs. One of our "rabbit wranglers" actually took a first place with, of all things, a potted tomato plant she grew on her apartment balcony. And yes, I said "apartment." Her two bunnies had free range of her home. It was pretty cool!

Nice to see you here, MROO!
Thanks! I've been laying pretty low for a while. Covid hit my family pretty hard - too many funerals and some nasty after-effects (apparently I'm a "long-hauler," Yay. NOT!) Still, it's nice to have a little time and energy for more than the bare basics again. I've missed everybody!

I didn’t know we had so many rock hounds here! Last summer we went to hot springs for a week and stayed in an Airbnb with a creek running through it. The water was ice cold but the kids were in it all day. I got in as much as I could stand. 😂

We hunted rocks and I let the kids bring home as much as they wanted. We also went to the diamond crater one day, but they didn’t have the patience for it. I was having a great time. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Here are our favorite treasures. When I find them as I unpack, we can revisit them. 😂

Very COOL! If you ever make it to Massachusetts, try White Horse Beach. The rocks there are every color of the rock-rainbow, and most are perfectly smoothed by the Atlantic and Cape Cod Bay. Scituate (pronounced Skitch'-it) is a nice place to hunt, too. The water's cold (by our standards, anyway) most of the year, but they're both beautiful beaches. I've found a lot of egg-shaped rocks in both places, but my prize came from White Horse. It's a granite-type naturally shaped in a perfect, one-inch sphere!

Were your kids ever in FFA?
