Granny's gone and done it again

Were your kids ever in FFA?
Nope. It wasn't offered at their school and it's only just now really taking off around here. A lot of the kids are already from farming families, so i guess "Future Farmers" didn't have a big enough following. My sister runs the Ag program at her high school and serves as the advisor for a really active and growing (no pun intended ... well, okay, maybe a little one!) "Her Kids" do a big petting zoo/info event at their local TSC every year, They have a dozen different kinds of chickens and ducks inside, along with rabbits, goats and sheep. Outside, they have horses, cattle (dairy and beef) and occasionally a llama. TSC donates some of the proceeds to them and they are allowed to put out a donation jar. They don't get a whole lot, but they get a lot of attention and some press coverage. It's a lot of fun.

Thanks! I've been laying pretty low for a while. Covid hit my family pretty hard - too many funerals and some nasty after-effects (apparently I'm a "long-hauler," Yay. NOT!) Still, it's nice to have a little time and energy for more than the bare basics again. I've missed everybody!
Boo, sorry to hear! Glad you are back! Hope you are back on your feet.

Permanent lung damage, light-headedness and nasty joint pain that was initially thought to be Lyme's (but isn't.) We're still doing a bunch of tests. Apparently, there is no definitive test for Covid damage. The only way to call an issue "Covid related" is to rule out pretty much every other possible cause ... and that takes time. Still, I'm alive and kicking while others of my family and friends aren't. I'll take it.

Note - I just noticed that Spell-Check still tags "Covid" as misspelled. It's going on three years, now. You'd think that it would be part of the word bank, by now!

You would think. My Siri kept changing it from covid when I was texting the hubs when I got my results.

He got his weekly brain tickle today.

Well, at least I gave the nurse who administered my test a good laugh at my reactions lol. Told him sorry for the insane over reactions and he laughed and said if I didn’t, how would he know he was doing it right.

Mroo oh that sucks :(

Very COOL! If you ever make it to Massachusetts, try White Horse Beach. The rocks there are every color of the rock-rainbow, and most are perfectly smoothed by the Atlantic and Cape Cod Bay. Scituate (pronounced Skitch'-it) is a nice place to hunt, too. The water's cold (by our standards, anyway) most of the year, but they're both beautiful beaches. I've found a lot of egg-shaped rocks in both places, but my prize came from White Horse. It's a granite-type naturally shaped in a perfect, one-inch sphere!

Let’s see it!
