Not for a margarita, but a little bit of almond extract substitutes rather nicely for amaretto, if you can't have or don't want the booze. And I once got a bunch of 16-year-olds "drunk" on pina coladas with rum extract. There was NO way I was giving that bunch real alcohol, legal or not, but holy cow, their results were HYSTERICAL! One of these days, I'll tell my now grown cousins all about their "first alcohol buzz." Now THAT ought to be entertaining ...

Cynthia, I would think they can look in your ears and see the fluid through your eardrum. He could not see mine but figured he would go in with a microscope and look. I have tiny ear canals, ear buds and such never fit.

You do know rum extract has alcohol in it?

I hope not. It happened two years ago Jan 2020. Got a bad cold/flu/covid. Couldn’t breathe, got steroids, ABX and cough syrup. I got better fast but was left with my ear blocked. It has been two years and my hearing just keeps getting worse.

I do need a hearing aid. They will do another hearing test March 22
