Granny's gone and done it again

Wow - nothing like working a full-time job to give one a renewed appreciation for the days of the week, specifically the one coming tomorrow! LOVING the new job, just taking some getting used to being on a new schedule....looking forward to the weekend, though, as we're supposed to be dry Sunday and Monday so

that between DH and I working Sunday and DH/FIL working Monday we just might end up with a functional coop in time to pick up chicks next weekend.
Im glad you like your new job.

Can I borrow $50.00 ? hahahaaa kidding
What about paint?

My mom found a hair in her cheese on a breakfast sandwich from Micky D's the other day. I about puked.

You know - I can deal with all sorts of animal hair, etc on my food....or eating with filthy hands while out working animals, fishing, etc.......but human hair from someone else like that is not something I can deal with.

What harm can it do? With the way things are going, I'm about to lose my temper on the thing. So many lost this week. I think I'd feel better if I broke something

And tbh earlier I was thinking about holding off until Saturday anyway. Maybe Sunday if he's not bigger.

Same. Even family, I just can't deal with it.

I honestly dont know. I have read people that dont lock down til internal pip but I have no idea how their hatches go. I know mine suck. I am wondering if this fridge might have mold on the seals or inside somehow.

I'm not sure. I might pop over to the incubation thread in the morning and ask around.
It could have. Fridges are tricky. Not always sealed good to begin with.

Im not 100% but I think these last 2 I hatched out might be more candy corn.  I hope so. One is showing a little unabsorbed yolk. Just a tiny amount.

Ohhh more candy! Yay!
Better a little than a lot.

That's why they are emptying your feeders... picking through all the healthy stuff to get to the scratch. Layer feed only in the feeder should solve that after they realize there are no hidden goodies. I give scratch by hand, on the ground, where it can be scratched at.

X 2 - chickens are very clever little buggars!

When I make pho I buy fresh noodles from the asian market...
the one time I bought the dry noodles and tried to cook them I screwed them up.
I think the secret it to cook them very quick and get them in cool water.

(
im not sure but i will never use the dry ones again)

You just drop the fresh noodles in hot water for a few seconds and take them right back out...i actually think you could skip that step and put them right into the bowl of soup.

Yep - with the fresh you just ladle the hot broth over them and they cook right up before you eat them -- same with putting the thinly sliced raw beef in the bowl so that it partially cooks to just the right level before you eat it.
