Granny's gone and done it again

I have a lady that wants soy free eggs. How long would it take soy to get out of a chickens system. I just feed it as treat feather fixer, it isn't their regular layer pellets.

Wishing, its a drive thrue only burger joint

Never heard of them. We have In-N-Out here, but they have seating too. It's always very busy, limited menu choices, and the fries are from fresh potatoes... they cut them right next to the fryer.

Uh oh. Maybe pry some more of that money away from Tom and get a new one before you are stranded again.

Have you ever been so tired and hungry that you fix your self something to eat and as your eating you find a hair or fuzz in it thats not yours and you just pull it out and finish your food ?
It's not the hair that bothers me, it's the germs on the hair!

Wow - nothing like working a full-time job to give one a renewed appreciation for the days of the week, specifically the one coming tomorrow! LOVING the new job, just taking some getting used to being on a new schedule....looking forward to the weekend, though, as we're supposed to be dry Sunday and Monday so

that between DH and I working Sunday and DH/FIL working Monday we just might end up with a functional coop in time to pick up chicks next weekend.

Technically speaking, I believe only birds that are never given soy feed can be marketed as producing "soy free" eggs - that being said, I think the whole thing is just another marketing ploy and a bunch of B.S.....as she is the one that wants soy free eggs I would ask her to tell you how long she feels the birds should be soy free before she feels comfortable eating the eggs or direct her to a seller that maintains a completely soy free feed program.

That's a good question, but I don't know. I saw a necropsy of a hen once and was surprised to see the yolks are all in a little cluster and start to grow long before heading down the oviduct. Seems like they would be absorbing their food weeks before.

WORK!

Morning Whites, 3rd baby hatched and the bator looks like there was a blood bath in there. Still has its yolk. Gross. I put some antibiotic on a damp sponge in a coffee cup and stuck it in there. It is pizzed and wants out.

Just out of curiosity, when, on average, is this likely to show up? Before I knew better, I fed nothing but layer to everyone, including up to 3 at a time (5-6 total) with no sign of a problem, ever. The last one was probably 2 yrs old when he got too close to a hatchet.

I have that same problem with a lot of my roos. They just dont know how to stay away from my hatchet.
