Maybe entice Hammie into the trailer with a little food. That's the way I found to get my goats into a trailer before I rigged up a chute.Good morning all! Looking like brother’s pig might not make it to fair (at least not in our class). I have been helping him brush, condition, and weigh, but he doesn’t seem to care about her much. She is still on the lighter side.
Hammie still won’t go into the trailer, but she got 50% in yesterday. Also gave my problem chicken another calcium citrate pill yesterday. Getting ready to do a few IV shots on Thursday…need to get the goats a blood test to check for diseases. I have never done an IV shot before so that should be fun. Goats love the milking stand now and are doing really great during training. My mom keeps wanting an Alpaca
I told her maybe after the pigs are off to Fair in July. The shearing is gonna be dreadful though![]()
That’s what I have been doing. Pigs aren’t very…what’s the word…not physically built to get up and down stuff. I know she can, the trailer is really close to the ground…but it’s gonna take work.Maybe entice Hammie into the trailer with a little food. Wonder if you could build a small ramp in her pen and put her food on the top? That’s what I have been doing. Pigs aren’t very…what’s the word…not physically built to get up and down stuff. I know she can, the trailer is really close to the ground…but it’s gonna take work.
