Yes and no. I do take her out for walks in the morning and in the afternoon. Usually weighing/trailer training is in the morning before food. HOWEVER, my pig is in the same pen as my brother's pig and sometimes my feeding schedule gets messed up. I could go in (its a horse trailer, so decent-sized), BUT she doesn't follow me. I walk her with a show stick while I stand between her loin and back legs. That's what will happen at the show too. I'm sure she will learn...its just gonna take time.Try this in the morning BEFORE she has had her breakfast. On an empty stomach, her food might be very tempting. Is there room for you to safely go in ahead of her? And would she follow you?
Night Granny. I should sign off too.Im going too. Gnight all
Clicker train her. That’s what I have been doing. Pigs aren’t very…what’s the word…not physically built to get up and down stuff. I know she can, the trailer is really close to the ground…but it’s gonna take work.
Some of the eggs my bantam polish lays are as big or bigger than LF eggs!A bantam laid that ginormous egg???
I will, thanks.Post pictures once its done. Bet it will look awesome.
Sorry Granny, hope you will feel better tomorrow!Long day here too. 2 trips to bed because of pain and 4 tylenol besides my pps
