I guess the good news is I have 2 of polka's sons and a daughter, and Martinika's mom Maiah is still around.

AND this means Lizzy and Annie are no longer going to be for sale this year at least.

sorry BUT now it's to late. I figured I could quarter her out and then toss them in the freezer as I might have had enough time for that. Maybe God forbid next time around.

OH and while dragging Polka out of the creek I look over by the fence and there lies another DOA , turned out to be Martinika who was due to calve. So down 2 cows and 2 calves so far this year.

she was the other one I found/saw when dragging Polka out. I am going to say it was birthing complications but who knows.
