Granny's gone and done it again

I find that amazing MC
Thanks Granny. We raced recumbent bikes for years. My husband was owner of a speed bike when we met. This is the Varna II in 2007 when we were competing at the Nissan Speed Bike Challenge in Casa Grande, Arizona. We had gotten married two days before these pictures were taken. We called it a competition/honeymoon/vacation trilogy.

The pictures were taken by a freelance professional photographer for the Mazda magazine. Our 'pilot' was sort of a celebrity from England.

We were personally racing recumbent bikes at the same time so we were pretty busy. Now that we are older, Riding dirt bikes is a lot less strenuous, LOL.

This is my baby.

Stinky greenish liquid stools could be something like sour crop. The first thing I try with that is to feed plain yogurt with the active cultures. Force feed if needed. (No sugar in the yogurt because the sugar will feed the yeast/bad bacteria.) Stop feeding solid grains until she's better, it just makes it worse. There's a lot more to try... you should look it up (some people use Monistat). Green stool means the bird is wasting, so sounds like you caught it in time. Keep her separated until her digestion is back to normal.
Thanks, Wishing, I'll try this tomorrow (Sunday). Today she stood longer when we took her out to clean her cage, and walked a bit. Her stool is becoming more formed. I'll see if I have any Monistat and if not I'll pick some up. She does not smell sour. Thanks again!

Morning all!

I've used Monostat for crop issues. Poor baby. I hate it when they are sick and you cannot figure out which direction to attack the problem. It pretty much sounds like how my rooster and hen presented this past summer except mine wouldn't eat so I'll be following to see how your hen turns out, Blue.

Any chance it's a parasite problem?
I don't see mites or anything on her. Maybe I need to worm?

I have 6 batches of bjoter kockles in fridge to be sliced and baked. Did 8 batches of carmels yesterday and over 25 pounds of fudge today.

Going to give this years calves in with curly their booster shots tomorrow.

75 dozen cookies baked so far.

Had to bobcat the parking lot on tuesday.

Forgot what else has been going on.

Oh and 4 hours sleep last night.

Gave my hen her second dose of prednisone today. Poor baby. I think she is a tad better but have my fears that she has a fracture somewhere between her knee and hip. Haven't been able to check the hip joint. got as far as the knee today really feeling for an injury and when I hit the knee she was crying and pecking me. Felt so sorry for her I almost cried with her. The 'drumstick' muscle is completely wasted. She seems happy though. One of the little BBR roosters is keeping right beside her. Best I can hope is that if she has a fracture it heals enough for her not to be in pain.

We need the rain bad. this week is supposed to be rainier maybe even some snow but we are still way behind and I think showing some drought rating.
Are you going to put her someplace so the others don't peck at her?

I just ate some soup and have a headache now. I bet my sugar was low.
Every time it rains here we lose tv and half the time our lights. Its a pita.
We used to, too, until I had the house rewired about 5 years back. It was built in the early '60's and wasn't grounded. I KNOW, right? All the outlets only had two slots! If you wanted to plug anything in with a third post you had to use an adapter, and it still wasn't grounded, so yeah, printer, computer, phone, battery pack for power tools, fridge, stove, other appliances, etc .... we were always replacing them or their surge protectors way too often bc of power surges from lightning storms. Thank goodness that's all changed ... except one outlet they missed, lol. That one cost me another printer.
