Granny's gone and done it again

hey all, I went shopping w/ Robert for some grub . I bought cubed steak . already made mashed potatoes and fixings to make a pie. That will be Christmas dinner. No rolls nada! Robert will help me fry the meat and he will make the pie so sounds like we are set. No gifts this year which kinda bums me out. Im not putting my little tree up either. Ba humbug. lol
Sounds like a good plan for Christmas. I never have been abl to cook chicken fried steak.

MC How old did you say you were? In your 70s if I am remembering right. I think its amazing you still ride that bike.
I'll be 70 this next July, Granny.

I plan to ride as long as I can throw a leg over the seat, kick start it, and ride without falling and breaking a bone, lol. May even keep riding if I do manage to break a bone. And go to electric start when I can't kick start my TTR.

Rode the last time last week. Getting too slick for me. DH went out today and said he was going sideways a lot on the trails and it was FUN! Men. He's 71 and feels the same way I do about riding. In his younger days he was a successful motorcycle road racer. I have some of his plaques hanging on our shop wall. So many trophies we didn't have any more space to put them. He still has his original race bike.

My trick to frying it tender is to start off frozen. Cut it into long strips like "fingers" dip in milk and egg. salt then flour. Its much easier to slice frozen and keeps me from overcooking it.

Not my ideal Christmas and I know Im going to feel bad when no one has anything to open but they arent showing any interest in a tree. No one has mentioned it so the only one that will miss it is me and I will just have to deal with it.
