Granny's gone and done it again

Stay safe, Jas.

We are having our typical gray gloomy humid cold cloudy yucky day here. I like winter a bunch better when there is snow on the ground. Unfortunately this is pretty much the way December is here, January can be snowy, icy and very cold. February is just usually icky like December but there can be snow on the ground. But we have our coldest temps in January where it can get below zero a lot.

Funny thing is we laugh and tell people we moved here for the milder winters. When they snort and say, really? We say yeah, Average snow where we used to live was close to 40+ inches a year. Here it's only 22. Down right balmy.

We had loads of rain overnight until about 1pm today. Hubs and I (and about half the county!) took advantage of the break in the rain to look around the shops... got a couple things for the kitchen. We were surprised to see a lot of empty shelves. Guess the supply chain still has a hitch in its gitalong.

Leaving soon to take Pi to get his rabies shot. Hope he behaves. Getting cabin fever with all this rain. WONDERFUL RAIN!

I used to like painting but the problem with that was once I got started I didnt want to stop! before I knew it the whole house would be a different color. hahaa
Restore as in habitat for humanity? Those are fun too
Hope you feel better soon.
Thanks Granny, yes. The restore is H for H. I would have liked to go, but i did get lots of painting done.

hey all, I went shopping w/ Robert for some grub . I bought cubed steak . already made mashed potatoes and fixings to make a pie. That will be Christmas dinner. No rolls nada! Robert will help me fry the meat and he will make the pie so sounds like we are set. No gifts this year which kinda bums me out. Im not putting my little tree up either. Ba humbug. lol

Gave my hen her second dose of prednisone today. Poor baby. I think she is a tad better but have my fears that she has a fracture somewhere between her knee and hip. Haven't been able to check the hip joint. got as far as the knee today really feeling for an injury and when I hit the knee she was crying and pecking me. Felt so sorry for her I almost cried with her. The 'drumstick' muscle is completely wasted. She seems happy though. One of the little BBR roosters is keeping right beside her. Best I can hope is that if she has a fracture it heals enough for her not to be in pain.

We need the rain bad. this week is supposed to be rainier maybe even some snow but we are still way behind and I think showing some drought rating.
