Both of my repro vets says not to neuter males anymore. Much better for their health. Just went to appts with an 8 year old. Vet said don’t neuter.Or maybe they are having trouble getting their usual ingredients. Lots of shortages and extra cost for products these days.
Eventually. After his growth plates close... about 2 yrs old.
Because they want to create a food shortage.Maybe to manipulate the market for eggs/poultry?
Yeah, cattle dogs are difficult. They are bred t be ornery. We did that with Varn, our little 'runt' cattle dog. He was so small compared to his brothers and sisters that we had him neutered last. He wasn't 2, closer to 1. We wanted to give him a chance to grow and mature as much as possible.
He did grow and fill out more but he definitely didn't quiet down. Little stinker got more honery. Plus his nads grew HUGE like maybe he was kicking out MORE testosterone than he needed. It was like watching an annoying little brother continuously be beat up by his larger siblings. With good reason. He was just a little jerk to them.
Even neutered the other day I saw him run up behind his taller, lighter weight brother and bite him on the butt, then run like the devil himself was on his tail with brother hot after him. As they breezed by me I said 'Don't come running to me when you get beat up!' Sometimes it's like having 4-2 year olds in the house.
@BigBlueHen53 I'll be surprised if we don't lose some tree tops. We noticed and it shows up in that picture I posted after our first snow on Sunday that all the trees were bowing over from the weight of the snow. Sorry you lost a wild cherry. We have a lot of that in our timber.
Funny, the conservation forester we had look at our timber called them scrub trees and advised us to cut them. Ain't gonna happen. They are too pretty in the spring when they bloom.
Good point. Not everyone realizes that certain breeds are bred for certain things...not sure this will work...Yeah, cattle dogs are difficult. They are bred t be ornery.
Does neutering slow their growth? I dont remember how old Bandit was but I remember what they did to him. poor
It is easy to be content when all your needs are met. My concern is the debt we are leaving this county in for our grandkids and kids. There's always going to be unhappy folks with the government. They're not perfect. A lot of countries complain about their government, not just us. I believe that in most part..the people in government went in wanting to help. Then..the you know what hits the fan..right into their faces. Who in this world can make a state perfect let alone e a country. There is no making everyone happy. No way it's possible at all. We're asked to pray for our leaders and country. The best we can do to help is just that..and of course!..vote for who you want. I think we're pretty blessed in these latter days. I'm glad I'm living in thus country and not one like say.. Russia. Or China. Thank you Lord for placing me here. What would we do without law and rules? Glad we have it so good. Good for now.. the worst it yet to come. It's been said. It needs to happen. Things are not going to get better from here on out. They just aren't. In the meantime, I'll love my best. Rant over..rant? Nah..![]()
