Night Twist. sweet dreams.

Oh, this made my heart so happy to read! I know things haven't worked out quite like you were hoping with the swap side, but so glad that you will have a wonderful day with CB regardless!

The ONLY month we are not quarenteed to never have snow according to the records is JULY and chance of it again next week BUT tomorrow is supposed to be around 70*

I distinctly remember one 4th of July where we had snowflakes fall back home (Idaho).

Honas are doing fine. Two with leg probs still hanging in there. Some are big and some are tiny, probably has to do with pullet eggs.

BABIES!!!!!!
My newest babies

Feathering out nicely there! As many chicks as I have raised in my life I am always amazed all over again at just how fast they grow and change.

And here's peach today. Just got the text from hubs - he's tanking up and heading out. Whee.

Awwwww, such a sweet face!

BIG wind (and rain, of course, but that certainly isn't news in Oregon) storm here today -- the one day I had been toying with not coming home at lunch because I had a few errands I wanted to run, but needed to pop in and make sure we still had power so I knew the chicks were warm and safe. My mom/sister have lost power and mom sent me a picture of their babies (got them the day before I got mine) sitting in front of the fire in the house. Surprisingly, the old, dead tree in the yard is STILL standing -- was talking with the LL last week and they brought it up saying they plan to have it taken down in the next month or so, waiting on decent weather which means it will never happen, lol.

Six chicks are out! 4 isabels and 2 splits. Two Mavis eggs are pipped, two Texas isabels are pipped, and one s&c Isabel is trying to zip malpo. I had to leave, so that's my last update for a while.
I can see the one with the big comb, and the bottom one still hatching has a big comb too! Maybe they just look big since their hair is slicked back??

Popped in to just say Hi while I was eating lunch. Lots of stuff going on for everyone. I'm glad the water is receding Camping. That had to be a little scary. We've had high winds the past couple of days, but we missed getting dumped on with wet heavy snow, thank God. Jane sorry that something got into your chicks & about the part of you disposing of the remaining eggs. Don't beat yourself up, unfortunately those things can happen & do all the time. Hope everyone is having a good day. I've got to get something done today to make up from being sick most of the week & achomplishing nothing. Bbl
Sorry to hear you've been sick. Wanted to ask you about Bernevelders... do you have them? recommend them?
