There is some type of bee going from flower to flower. It is small like a fly but looks like a bee. I was told to use a paint brush to pollinate them but since they are setting on I dont think its needed

Fox or Racoon or possible possum. I'm going to get even for their killing of pets here. There is a lake nearby full of frogs for the coons and they taste like chicken.

I dont blame you. I would be out for pay backs too. I drowned a coon once after trapping it and never again will I do that. We didnt have a gun in the house at the time and it took forever to kill that poor thing.

It's stamens of the crocus flowers that become saffron.
Vanilla beans come from fruiting pods produced by vanilla orchid flowers.

If they are setting you are good to go. Sounds like you may have some of what are called Sweat Bees. Tiny. They are what do the best job of pollinating Lima beans.
