When I was really young, I went to this fancy restaurant with my family, and my dad got me duck liver. I had manners, but I was so disgusted by the taste and texture, I spat it out on the table.Liver is so good for you. I wish I knew how to cook it.
Looking back, it’s probably little Pastel being a very young child (I was probably seven) but I’m sure that if I tried it now I might appreciate it. I’ve killed six chickens in my life, and I’ve gutted and stuff to way more than 6 chickens. I’ve grown to appreciate them and how they are. And I know how the food we get in the store is made, so I’m sure if I ever need to try duck liver again, I will.
