This sounds like a really good idea. Hopefully PAWS would take the animal back if the "elder" could no longer care for the animal for any reason. If I outlive Jenny and/or Sammy, I would def look into this. At my age I'm getting too old to take on another dog or cat after the ones I have pass on, but I'd hate to just be without.
