Granny's gone and done it again

Going to find out. It's been used by indigenous people for sweetener for a long time. Maybe not the crystalized but in our climate where it can grow for a long time we may can produce all we need. I won't now until we have enough plants to process some and then will now what the scale of plants needed per pound of product. I won't give up without trying.
Well keep us posted, it will be an interesting thing to know!
 
My chicks are two weeks old today. I suspect a cockerel among the EEs. It may not show up here, but I think I see a faint reddish tinge on his shoulders; he's bigger than any of the others, and he stands up a little taller than everyone else, like "the Fonz." And yes, I'm talking about the light-colored fella on the left in this pic. What think ye all?

So all you guys that responded with a thumbs-up .. are you saying yes, this looks like a possible cockerel to you, too?
