We are putting a vapor barrier in the crawl space tomorrow. Not looking forward to that.
This afternoon I worked in the original garden again. Pulled blackberry plants, weeds, cleaned up leaves and sticks, three garbage cans worth. Plan to plant potatoes back there.

How do you plant your potatoes? I've been thinking I may give it a go. Had two apple tree stumps removed a few days back. Lots of room now. Granny you asked what we may do tomorrow. I think I'll go ahead and plant my mamammoth sunflower seeds. And, I'm going to do pumpkins again.

It does my heart good to hear all the wonderful plans. Around here there are a few places giving away tree saplings. Native of course. Sometimes they give good ones away.

Oh my the time got away. Bedtime for me. I was busy looking at seed for fall and next spring when I found green bean seed for $34 a pound the shock woke me up. That is scary. Taking my meds and going to try and get over the shock.

The ones with yellow heads feather out like this:

They are "self-blue," or lavender in color, basically EE but I think they are beautiful, and may be the closest I get to pb Ameraucanas. Good enough for me! Can't wait! She has another 15 in the incu to hatch next Saturday, straight run of course. What I can't keep I will try to sell. I'm excited, road trip!

Just let some of the green bean pods dry, (however many you think you need) and then use those seeds for next year.
