Makes me tired just thinking about all that.

I'm just getting started. When the crops start coming in I won't have time for much else. But it will be worth it next winter. I won't have to go to the grocery store as much and we will eat good!

Around in the garden sevin granules. Takes a lot of treatments but safe.

Got me a new pet. One of the Easter hatched silkies has taken a liking to climbing up my shirt when I'm sitting and snuggling under my neck. We brought it in late this afternoon because we thought it had a problem and determined it had not eaten in a while. Put some feed in front of it and it gobbled it up and the some egg and it went crazy with than too. When it was full it stayed at my feet and when I put it in my lap it started climbing as high as it could roost. Need to get a picture of it tomorrow.

This little silkie is a buff colored one with frizzle feathers. Can't name another one Honey so if it is a girl it will be named Sugar.

I brought one of my lavender chicks in tonight, it seems a little feeble and weak-legged. I've got it in a tote in a bedroom and gave it some hard-cooked yolk I added a little warm water to, to soften it. Tomorrow I'll put some vitamins in its water and make a mash of its feed and see how it does.

Hope you had a good day. I've been busy all day! Baked 2 loaves of bread, fixed chicken food and got a dishpan full of little potatoes ready to can. Larry grilled porkchops so I prepared the vegetables to go with them. Then I helped him do chicken chores this afternoon. I'm pooped!
