Sevin was the go to insecticide to replace the Chlorinated Hydrocarbon class of insecticides that were slow to break down and degrade. I can use Sevin in late afternoon after the bees have returned to their hives and by morning when they come back the Sevin is no longer working. Sevin is a Carbamate class of chemical. It was labeled at one time for flea control on adult dogs but not puppies. One the other end of the spectrum from Sevin there was Temik. Temik is deadly and requires a hazmat suit to use as far as I concerned. It was used in citrus but for what I don't remember. Mites I think. Scale insects. Now it can only be used in a few states.you would think someone would come up with something like that to keep from using poison. I have used sevin all my life. Inside the house as well. It didnt always have warnings on it
