Larry. I tried finding the video I used to help when my sciatica acts up. There will be times it's so bad my walker comes out. Here's what I do and it helps..me.
Lay on your tummy towards the end of the bed.
Shoulders to the edge.
Put your arms down over the bed.
Put you head over the edge also..drop your head,chin down all the way.
Relax..completely! Let those arms and upper body pull on the spine. It helps separate the bones and lift the part that's pushing on the nerve. I lay there a good 3 minutes.
Get up slowly. Bringing head up first, then arms.
Push yourself over slowly.
Hopefully the pain isn't as bad. Get up slowly.
Rest is the most important thing so the nerve won't be agitated with the movement of that bad disc.
I'm sure you're taking inflammatory meds.
Repeat the bed procedure in a couple of hours if you need to.
