Granny's gone and done it again

I read an article on the arthritis foundations site about dealing with housework when you have arthritis. They said to set goals and not try to do everything at once. For instant if you need to clean cupboards (which I need to do) only do one or two at a time, which I have adopted also. My big problem is getting up once I get down on the floor. Sometimes I have to call for DH to come boost me up or if I'm in the family room with the Cattle Dogs I call Rocki over and tell her 'Shoulder', then use her shoulders as a boost. I guess she is becoming my service dog as she braces herself for me.

DH tried it with her and he asked me how I got her to hold still for me because she won't hold still for him. I told him it was a girl thing.;)

I tried caffeine again and discovered that it raises my B/P and heart rate, plus makes my arrhythmia act up so it had to get crossed off the diet list. I miss it. It started to do the same thing to DH so we are a caffeine free zone. Which sux. Are you using APCs for pain? Used to love those things and the caffeine gave you an energy boost.

How is your CFS doing?
Apc's and Cfs? I have brain fog and memory loss. Maybe you could give me a hint?
I had a medication for pain, but I can't take it when I am on steroids. I weaned off for steroids for a while, but I just felt horrid and only wanted to sleep.

I was on Diclophenac. Then I tried rum and coke. Which feels good, but is fattening and the buzz doesn't last. I really don't like taking as many pills as I need. Too many health issues.
I have been cleaning out stalls for the goats to have kids in. I do one Mule load at a time, at 2 am. I need to make a new door for that pen, the goats like to escape from there.

Brain fog is horrible.

APC's we used to use in OB post partum for cramping control. Acetaminophen Phenacetin and Caffeine. Not sure if they are even using them any more. But you can get (I think) tylenol with caffeine.

CFS Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Had the brain fog with Lyme and the infection I had last year from the Lone Star tick bite. Nothing you can do except write notes to yourself and out live it.:hugs

Trust me, it's a nurse thing.

Hedged taking prescription pain meds until my doc got in my face and told me in no uncertain terms that we nurses have a fear of taking pain meds due to dependency. All we needed to do was take them as prescribed he told me and we wouldn't have any trouble.

I don't hesitate any longer to take them. It suddenly dawned on me that I felt so much better when I wasn't hurting.

I don’t know if they sell JUST Tylenol with caffeine but they do sell Excedrin which is acetaminophen (Tylenol), aspirin, and caffeine.

I have no problem with taking pain pills when I really need them. I have a whole bottle I got my previous doctor to give me. Have not used them yet. I have no fear of dependency at this point.
The headache pills have caffeine and acetaminophen. I have been having lots of headaches. Totally a train wreck, I am.
Last night I started cleaning up the studio. It was so cluttered, I was getting scared I might trip over something and fall. I cleaned up around my table and chairs. I keep finding I need more and more shelves, but am running out of space for them! I need a space to store bins of finished work. I think I will use an empty chicken coop.

Minister's wife once told me what don't hurt, don't work.

Now I know what she was talking about!

That's how the shop gets here. Every now and then you just have to go out and start shoveling. I recently announced if anything new is brought onto the property, something has to go to make room for it. It's like, why don't the Amish build storage into their houses? Every one I've been in has tiny closets and no storage areas at all.

We built a large closet and storage area for DH's medical equipment but we could seriously use more closets. I would like to finish the upstairs attic storage into a spare room and use the areas behind the walls for storage space.

Cap I hate hearing that you are having so much pain and discomfort. It sure whittles away at your quality of life.

Thank you!!! I hate hearing that on the one hand but on the other hand it’s a relief it’s not just me lol
Nope, you aren't alone.

Gotta figure out something for dinner and do night chores for the chickens/gather eggs/etc. Later fellow sufferers and all you lucky other folks.
