Granny's gone and done it again

@lovesfarms what is wrong with your DH?
He has Crohn's since he was little & only has partial small intestine left. So everything that can come from not getting the value from your food to problems from long term medicine (/steroid use), to strictures in intestine and esophagus, torn esophagus, torn intestine blocked esophagus.... Crohn's affecting liver, gall bladder, brain fog, whole body inflammation.. Everything that falls in between there. That includes his heart. The medication lowers his immune system so cancer falls under the umbrella. Right now it's pain in the forehead with forgetfulness and one shaky hand and shoulder pain, waiting his MRI.
He just had an MRI for high liver count that came from cysts on the pancreas. Then it's all the hours I sit on the phone with the insurance company and the Drs office to get the pre-authorization to the correct place since he has dual insurance.
When I say you need help, I really sincerely mean it. There are times when you are so overwhelmed with decisions and health problems, it feels good to have medical help in the loop that knows you, and understands your wishes, they know how to help if the patient is forgetful or anxious. If you get them in your loop now, then if he doesn't want to keep his appointments or things off that nature, they already know and they can help you heaps.
But you really should get him into rehab, doing things like that, the medical professional will point out other helpful things. They have to see him and his condition.
I feel so blessed with people that help me, I don't have to ask, they understand. The ER pushes you in and out. It's places like rehab that have your back. I could not go it alone
(When he had whole body inflammation in the hospital, we didn't think he's coming home again. They can give mediation for his spiking fevers but had no meds for the inflammation. Had to stop all his meds so his body could fight it off. He had caught a a stomach virus and chest virus at the same time)

Yes, the ER is for critical patients at the very moment..heart attack..car accident. . Other things like Migraines for example are usually treated pretty quickly with pain meds. Then suggested to see specialists for follow up.
My husband had Alzheimer’s. As most here know.
I needed help. More than what Austin and Bronwyn could give as they moved in to help. Don't get me wrong, they helped in a lot of ways. They both had jobs to get to. Hospice was such a big help. No more drs. They took care of the meds. Nurse came out to check on him. Social worker for me. Of course I decided on Hospice when I could see there was nothing drs could do for him. Hospice can have patients for quite a while. I know I mentioned it before, this place had some up to two years. My husband was kept comfortable for quite a while and still going places fir a while. Then he had a dramatic drop in function. A gal came by to help with showers. He was still eating..ok. Would have thise cough/choke attacks, dysphagia. Those are scary! UTI. Scary because it seemed he went from stage 3 to stage 5 overnight! He also had a very bad lower back. Bone spurs and a huge amount of arthritis. He had started to complain if a lot if pain. Hospice was ready for that.
Bless your heart. I know what your going through. I was also feeling like I was living on the phone in the beginning and being in the drs office or another drs office..different specialists or in for a xray or a sleeping test or MRI. The list goes in for a while.
Here's what you have more than likely heard many a time, take care of yourself as best you can. I'm sure you are.
I know Granny is trying too.
