Oh and Hoover does supply TSC according to what others have said here on BYC. I only want 7 more pullets of the Sapphire Gems so I'm watching for some to hit my local TSC come spring.

I also like chicks shipped out a Monday... Never had a problem that way.

I think my difficulty was that hoover only shipped on ... Wednesdays, IIRC. Which meant they arrived at the PO on Saturday morning - my church day. 40 miles the wrong direction, of course. And only hoover had the lovely Blue Gems and also the Prairie Bluebell Eggers, which lay the gorgeous blue eggs I was coveting!

It was an accident I stumbled into getting these 5. I was in there just bumming around and the lady ask me if I needed chicks as she finished waiting on another customer. I ask her how much and she said that they were a dollar each. I looked in the tank and saw that they were Sapphire Gems so I said I'll take them all. (All 5 of them). Turned out to be a very good purchase. These have been so vigorous and vibrant it's hard to believe even seeing it daily.

I really like mine too. They're so pretty and sweet! And excellent layers of nice brown eggs!
