Granny's gone and done it again

Thank you for the tips. I felt a little discoraged this evening, she did much better last evening. It could be partly because she's feeling better. You would think if she's feeling better, she wouldn't need pain pills anymore but I think she's supposed to finish them for inflammation.
Yeppers! Precisely. It's to make sure the inflammation is controlled. If she is feeling better she is going to want to be more active which means you have your hands full keeping her quiet. Vet once told me it's better to have them 'hurt' just a little so they stay quieter and give themselves a chance to heal.

I use Bisquick too. I think we cook them with the lid on for 10 minutes, then off for 10. Or the other way round, I forget which. I have it written down and I think it's also on the box. Now you got my mouth watering too, lol!

My late MIL used to say she liked the other kind of dumplings, the noodley ones. But she would eat several servings of mine, he-he. Darn, I miss her!
There is a Pennsylvania Dutch recipe for pot pie that isn't a pot pie at all but chicken or beef cooked in broth then you drop these big flat square 'noodles' into the broth and simmer till the noodles are tender. There is also a 'sauce' you can make to serve over it that is a sweet and sour vinegar in milk sweetened, salt and pepper with shredded lettuce mixed with it. Some call it Amish Pot Pie but my father who was Pennsylvania Dutch always called it German pot pie. Stuff was devilishly delicious.

Ya, I can give them a little. Their not used to a lot of human food except for a little nibble. Thanks Blue
I would under the circumstances. Shame to let it go to waste. Nothing does around here. If the dogs don't get it mixed with their meal, the chickens get it. Never saw them turn their beaks up at anything.
