Granny's gone and done it again

I had a little wyandotte that was a rescue and had become someones house pet. He gave her to me because he had sold all the others. That hen ONLY wanted to be with me. She refused all other chickens around her trying to be friends . She would come running to me wanting to be picked up. I used to hold her in one arm and do chores with the other. Every single time I bent over she would fly on my back and crawl up til I was standing and she settled on my shoulder nestled in my hair.

I have 5 Sapphire Gem pullets. One is way smaller than her sisters and I was afraid they would bully her but they don't. The complete opposite. When another pullet or hen gets to close to her they gang up on the intruder. They protect her. I do love this breed. Actually I think they are a hybrid rather than a cross. I just hope that they do not die young as some hybrids do.

Til they toss him out anyway. :(
Granny are they saying for certain that he will only be there for 30 days? Frankly, I've never heard of that happening. Like I said earlier, if he already has Medicaid that will kick in automatically after 30 days. They are probably already filing both Medicare/Medicaid for him now although the latter usually doesn't kick in until after Medicare's 30 day pay period. It's been a while so I'm not 100 percent sure.

IMHO I would talk to his doctor and see what he recommends. Or talk to the Social Services Dept at the nursing home and see what they can tell you.
