Chores are done. One layer coop to close just before dark and I need to close the pet coop the old man and woman reside in. Worried about the old man as he is losing weight and has trouble eating. He did eat a few treat pieces of fresh bread from my hand today. Yesterday I had to open his beak and insert it as he would drop it every time he would pick it up and not get it down. The old lady is doing ok. She laid an egg yesterday so she will most likely not lay again for another couple of weeks. She is one of our original shipped chicks from September of 2022. She is one of the 3 remaining. The others were sold after a year of laying to people wanting some hens that would lay Immediately.

That’s a good idea too and less energy on a day where I have none. Idk why I didn’t think of this lol he knows several tricks but we haven’t run through them all in a while.
