Granny's gone and done it again

And for those of you who deal with sugar issues, wow. Just wow. I'm certainly glad I don't have to cope with that!!! I feel so bad for you. BIG :hugs !!!!
Thanks! It sounds like lovesfarms suffers a lot more than I do. My A1c counts have been down almost to normal, non-diabetic levels for my last couple of 6-month checkups so I'm glad of that. I control it mostly with diet and moderate exercise ... although I have been taking Ozempic for a couple of months now. Not sure I can continue, there is this one side effect ....

Well, that's mostly good news. Not too sure about the mysterious side effect. There are certainly some I'm not willing to put up with. I have stopped taking meds for nausea because of their effects on my body. But if you need Ozempic, you would need to make sure they give you something else first, right?

I have a plethora of digestive and metabolic issues the Ozempic is supposed to address. The unfortunate side effect is ... diarrhea. I keep hoping my body will adjust to the med and the side effect will go away, but so far ... not so much.

Yes, that is the sort of thing I would be immediately talking to my doctor about. I think quality of life is important. There must be another medication, or other medications, that can address the digestive and metabolic issues. Are you the one who said she has Crohn's?

In my case, Zofran, an anti-nausea drug, was an issue, so I just stopped taking it and dealt with the nausea using OTC medications, mostly ginger capsules. Then next time I saw the oncologist I told him that and he prescribed another anti-nausea drug. The new one works great with the only side effect being sleepiness. Well, I didn't like that either. lol But I have now gotten off the chemo, with his consent, just this last month. I will have to go in for frequent CT Scans, but that is a fair trade!!! Chemo did a lot more than make me nauseous. It gave me pain and lethargy. I feel like I have my life back! So much energy, the old me. I have great faith that cancer is behind me. I believe I was healed 4 1/2 years ago. But that is another long winded story for another time, maybe another place.
