If it snows by you, the stores will sell out of bread and there will be no day old bread for your southern belles. Did you stock up?
My chickens won't come out. They are getting all our leftovers including tid bits of chicken if DH chews his up and can't swallow it.
I think chicken poop smells worse if they eat human food

Lol my chickens do not get "people food" at all, and believe me, their cecal poop is enough to gag a maggot! Lol. I clean my poop trays every day because a couple of the hens sleep in the trays under the roosts. They are Rojo's special "groupies." They love him so much they all want to be near him, and there is only so much room next to him on the roost, so some of them huddle up UNDER him. Silly girls!

It is extremely gross in there. I was cleaning poop up off the seat and floor

so temps the past 2 days. At 7:30 am on Sunday it was -18* and with wind chill -36*
Today at 8:15 am is was -22* and with windchill -52*

currently -13* and with windchill -35*

somehow we are supposed to be in the 20's above zero tomorrow. Evidently the National Guard will be using flame throwers to warm the air.

Don't they get pooped on? I don't think 117 is high at all after eating ant normal fastings were changed years back to 80-140. You aic looks good too. I would imagine you get tired after you eat just because your tired. Have you had your B vitamins checked? Or D ?

They had no chicken treat bread as such today and most likely will have none this week with the stores selling out. I bought 3 large loaves of plain white bread as that is what they all will eat. Some of the old ladies will only eat white bread and will not touch whole wheat or multigrain of any kind.

I did get the girls 50lbs of cracked corn to day that is give in moderation ahead of freezing their tail feathers off cold nights.
