Granny's gone and done it again

-11 here this morning. Moan. I sure wish you Canadians would keep your polar vortexes up there where they belong.

Not much going on, didn't feel well over the weekend. Danged diverticulitis making itself felt, undoubtedly from something I ate that I shouldn't have. Ah for the good old days where I could eat whatever I want without feeling it afterwards. Spent most of Sunday huddled in a ball on the sofa with an fleece blanket and the TV remote. But started feeling better yesterday so I'm hoping the antibiotics are starting to kick in.

As for the weather, I'll just be happy when the temp comes up enough that I can stop doing water runs to the coop every time I turn around. Starting to see some signs of frost bite on the guys with big floppy combs. Personally, I'm just tired of having to put on 3 layers of clothes just to go outside.

All those in favor of spring, raise you right hand and say AYE!

#1 daughter and SIL just left a day early. She's a nurse and can't afford to get snowed in down here were snow plows don't exist. They have to get to I-65 and then they will be ok as the interstates that connect them with Knoxville will be kept cleared.
Safe travels to them, Larry!

🙋‍♀️ Aye!

Sorry you have been sick. Must be a terrible malady to have. :hugs

Thank you, yes, it does try a person's determination when it flares up.

I'm starting to think that I inherited my mom's proclivity towards reacting the opposite of any given response to medication or treatment for disease. Every time I go by the book as far as diverticular disease is concerned and eat a lot of fiber, I wind up getting a flare. Doc is going to love it when I tell him about this one, lol.

I always heard if you have diverticulitis, you are to avoid fiber at all costs! Isn't that why Granny is supposed to remove seeds from tomatoes, etc.? Or am I way out in left field here?
