Granny's gone and done it again

I always heard if you have diverticulitis, you are to avoid fiber at all costs! Isn't that why Granny is supposed to remove seeds from tomatoes, etc.? Or am I way out in left field here?
Yeah, I was told by my GI doc to avoid seeds and nuts. The weird thing is that if you aren't in a flare, they want you to lay on the fiber. Up to 25grams per day but if you are in a flare or it's bothering you, you are supposed to avoid fiber for 3 or 4 days or while you are flared then slowly introduce it back into your diet.

Every time I try to reintroduce fiber, I start having pain again and feeling crappy so IDunno. My doctor recently told me that not only seeds and nuts can get hung up in the little pouches but regular digested food can also so the way I see it you are darned if you do and darned if you don't sort of thing.

In the summer I buy Romano tomatoes, carefully cut and seed them so I can eat a BLT with turkey bacon. They are so much easier to de-seed than regular tomatoes.

It's 1.4 degrees out here right now. Just went out to give the birds water. had solid ice in their bowls so had to go out and toss them around till the chunks flew out. Stopped by the barn to help DH get wood and my fingers got so cold they were hurting...with two pairs of warm gloves on and three hoodies!

Have I mentioned I REALLY hate winter?

Hey.

How ya doin Shrek? How's your facial pain?
I’m good thanks!!!!! Oddly, ever since I saw him, I’ve had like zero!!!!!! LOL go figure!!!!!! But yesterday and today I’ve had a migraine. I took my rescue migraine med and it’s better/gone away now thankfully but I did throw up because of the med unfortunately which hasn’t happened in a while (used to happen every single time I took it) so yeah. I did also throw up early this morning too right after my nurse left. Probably because I took my meds too fast. I had a feeling it would happen. Thankfully, I don’t think any meds came up or barely any. So yeah. I’ve basically been either in pain or sick all day. Just not the facial pain. 🙃😭😭😭😭 otherwise I’m good though. I’m at the clubhouse and I’m finding stuff to help out with LOL

-11 here this morning. Moan. I sure wish you Canadians would keep your polar vortexes up there where they belong.

Not much going on, didn't feel well over the weekend. Danged diverticulitis making itself felt, undoubtedly from something I ate that I shouldn't have. Ah for the good old days where I could eat whatever I want without feeling it afterwards. Spent most of Sunday huddled in a ball on the sofa with an fleece blanket and the TV remote. But started feeling better yesterday so I'm hoping the antibiotics are starting to kick in.

As for the weather, I'll just be happy when the temp comes up enough that I can stop doing water runs to the coop every time I turn around. Starting to see some signs of frost bite on the guys with big floppy combs. Personally, I'm just tired of having to put on 3 layers of clothes just to go outside.

All those in favor of spring, raise you right hand and say AYE!
Aye

We be snowed in. There is at least a 1/4" on the ground now. I know better to drive where there are drivers who have never seen snow before and certainly don't know how to drive on it. It's not going away and it is really coming down now. Almost white out conditions. Don't know why the Governor didn't put up a barricade at the TN state line and let them have it all.

I was up long enough for a PB&J this morning to go with meds. Slept well until 12:30 when I took another round of pain meds that I normally skip. Weather has my right shoulder mad with the world and I'm mad with the guessers for guessing right. Will take some pictures when the tablet gets fully charged. I'm sure the schools are closed as the busses would never run in these conditions here.
