If you cross back, they will turn white. These are F3 & F4 generations, and I only had Dark Cornish crossed with White Cornish cross. I was also breeding for blue. Also in my F1 generation, I had some kind of a sexlink marker. I noticed my females would be born with specks. The males were born solid white and developed red over the wings. Good luck with your project. I bred my birds both ways, White Cornish cross Roo over Dark Cornish Hens and my Dark Cornish Roo over my White Cornish cross females. Then crossed those F1's. My blue birds were 7/8's Dark Cornish. If you see bands on my chicks. I had a very detailed marking system and records for my chicks. I knew everything about everyone. It is key to understanding who is producing what color and body type.OMG you have real Dark Cornish? All my original stock was from a guy that showed. The trio a I got from him had a 14 pound rooster with an over sized comb. The girls were nice. They all had to be placed seven years ago when we started our house build. I'm now starting over with...Murray McMurray Dark Cornish. Not my choice, but what is available for me.
