Granny's gone and done it again

But my thing is (and the other reason I don’t like to call or even tell certain people in person) is I’m worried they’re gonna send me back LOL
I can understand your apprehension about that, seriously.

BUT 1) you aren't certain that is going to happen and 2) even if it did happen wouldn't you want to be where you can get the best care possible and feel better emotionally?

We don't know what happened to make you feel as bad as you do at this moment in time but we can sure tell from your posts that you aren't in a good place right now because of it and it's been going on for many days.

You are like an unofficial granddaughter for all of us and we do care about you. I'm going to be praying for you. Remember it's all right not to be strong.

Awwww thank you. :hugs I appreciate it.

That’s all true! Good points.

BUT!

I’m worried about Brew. There’s been talk of rehoming him before but then that never happened the other times but this time I really think it could because my dad just had a procedure done and is supposed to be doing nothing for like 6 weeks. (They originally said 2). That would leave the care all on my stepmom and he wouldn’t allow or want that I don’t think nor do I. Also I need to take him to the vet next week to get some shots. And I have like 4 appointments for myself next week too.

BUT!

I know all that is not really an excuse or anything SO! I’ve decided I WILL call if I need to lol

for you? Why so far? Mine is almost an hr.
My pain management doctor is in Dothan, 65 miles east of us. I stopped and got a few groceries on the way home. Got home about 3, put groceries away and spent the rest of the day in the yard. Fed and watered all the chickens, gathered eggs, used Weed whacker around the coops and now I've had my shower and am sitting for a few minutes before exhaustion sets in and I fall asleep in my chair.
Why were you up at 4 in the morning? trouble sleeping?

Same here, Iris. I usually sleep on my side, right or left and I'm a pillow hugger. Since I had hurt my shoulder last year I started sleeping on my left side but after surgery I could only tolerate sleeping on my back.

So my shoulder has been doing so well, I thought last night I was going to try to sleep on my left side with my recovering arm hugging my pillow. Fell asleep with no trouble but woke up at about 4:30. My poor right arm was stiff as a board and swearing at me when I tried to straighten it out. From that point on till 7 when I finally gave up and got up, I was tossing and turning and my shoulder was aching.

Walked into the PT building and my therapist yelled out and told me to come back to the work out area. He asked me how I was, I replied with a long winded raspberry and tossed my purse near a chair. He just laughed and said same here.

So I know why I didn't sleep well last night. Tonight, back to sleeping on my back.

Told DH I'm officially tired of dealing with this shoulder. Yes, I know, no total healing for 6 months, no full return of motion until 12 months. Officially dealing with the injury for 13 months, surgery for 2 months with 4 more to go until it's healed......Lord knows how long yet in PT. At least I have a 4 day break from PT and he tooled back my exercises for me as many of them aren't causing me any further 'stretching'.

Of course the 5 he left me with are all ones that will bring tears to your eyes. But I'll do them..I won't like it but I'll do them.:barnie:he

That doesn’t sound good. When is your next test?

It was trouble sleeping because of pain and nerves. I knew by how bad this pain is they were bound to find something.

Been there done that. I knew that as bad as my arm was hurting me and the degree of lost function I was experiencing, there had to be something torn. Sure enough, I asked how bad it was and got told. No surprises.

Sure hope you get somewhere with these docs, Granny, you have been through enough. :hugs

Oh mercy I did not realize how late it had gotten! Have I missed everybody? Took time to get caught up, sorry ...

But my thing is (and the other reason I don’t like to call or even tell certain people in person) is I’m worried they’re gonna send me back LOL
They only do that when it's what you NEED to get back on your feet, you know that. When it's what's best for you bc the alternative is, you know ... bad.

@microchick, I wish you would compile all your posts about your recovery and PT into a mini-book, it would make such great reading for all of us and for anyone going through challenging times. It's so ... gritty and real and courageous and inspiring. Truly, it's helping ME. In fact, today I ditched the walker for a bit, grabbed two canes and hobbled my way around the 0.1 mile trck around the house. Took me ten minutes moving like Frosty Molasses Lady and the dogs found my pace puzzling but ... we'll call it progress!

@granny, your results are a little alarming but... when you know what the problem is then you can go about finding a solution. Listen to your doctors and do what they tell you.

All that walking today put major strain on my arms so I'm out for the night too. Good night everybody. @Rambling Iris don't overdo!
