Why does everyone just walk in my house w/o even knocking? Med. delivery must of noticed the dogs outside and came in with Toms new insulin. I of course don't have a sliding scale unless she wrote it on his chart. Seeing how it was over 400 before lunch I gave him 10 IU of the new short acting stuff.

The office of aging came out this morning. He said DH is clinically approved for extra help. Step by step we get there

That's great news. I know its a mixed blessing because it makes you realize yes, he really is disabled but you need this extra help and there's nothing you can do to change the facts.

COPD is chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and is the umbrella diagnosis when the doctor doesn't really know what is going on with the lungs. It includes asthma and chronic bronchitis. There is no specific medication for it just treat the symptoms like the cough and use an inhaler to help keep the airway open. I also have had this diagnosis add to my list but I have had asthma all my life.
Our weather is beautiful today and for the next few days. Highs in the mid 60's lows in the mid 40's with clear blue sky. This is the best time of year!
I'm a retired nurse and like to share any knowledge I have that might help.

I was reading his chart last night and she diagnosed him with FTT. Just like the little chicks.
