A ladybird beetle just flew up and hit me in the eye! I hate these things! We don't have very many this year (I refuse to say "yet!") but every single one is a plague and a curse unto itself!

Yes, they bite and stink and swarm. So far no swarm, thank goodness, just a few scouts. I usually spritz them with lemon juice or lemon oil, Dawn dish soap and water. Kills them quick but makes a mess. Have not heard of anything else that works. And they don't come back for years!
