someone gave me chicks because they didnt know they were born to die. cornish cross. Sweetest birds I ever had in my life. I became attached. Something happened ,cant remember an illness in the family but by the time I got ready to butcher they were humongous. Got them cleaned ,ready too cook and found green meat. Made me sick.

I've seen her around a bit, but never talked to her, so I couldn't really say.

heck yes. barely and oats. Why would anyone go get chicks without even knowing what they need to eat.? I mean yes It was kinda a spare of the moment thing when we first got chicks. But we asked every question that we could think of before we decided to get them. Their feed and water should be one of the first things that you find out about. Before we got them I had no idea that you had to start them out with different feed than adult chickens. I was surprised about the starter, finisher, layer nd all the other feeds. But I made sure to find out what all we needed and what it was gonna cost before hand. I will say that tractor supply coops are bs to what they clam they hold. But Even before I joined Byc I could see that I needed to build a bigger coop and run.
