I don't think it is possible.

I started smoking a pipe so the cloud of smoke would keep gnats away from my face when I'm fishing. I enjoyed it so much I began smoking whether I was fishing or not.

I don't think it is possible.

Or understand why dippers dip snuff or why some jam wads of leaf tobacco into their mouths. I have never done 'hard' drugs so for me nicotine is the most addictive substance I have ever dealt with.
