I'll have to admit that Dallas is one of the prettiest places I've ever been in the Spring, with the Indian Paintbrush & Texas Bluebonnets in bloom. And Breckenridge Park is nice.x2 even for the dad

Unfortunately, they're 90% druggies, so you do want to steer clear of the neighbours there.Me too! And if they were nice reasonable people. With my luck I'd move somewhere with a bunch of psychopaths.
When I was a young boy, our 130 acres were covered with bluebonnets and Indian paint brushes in the spring. This was just south of Ft. Worth. But now living close to Abilene we have plenty of bluebonnets but no paintbrushes.I'll have to admit that Dallas is one of the prettiest places I've ever been in the Spring, with the Indian Paintbrush & Texas Bluebonnets in bloom. And Breckenridge Park is nice.
The Alamo was a bit of a disappointment, though. I know it's greatly deteriorated, but w/o knowing the history of it, it's hard to imagine why anyone would give their life defending or attacking it.
All my life I'd read in Western novels about cattle drives crossing the mighty Red River. Crossing it wouldn't have been any problem when I saw it...bone dry.
