Hi camp!! Glad to hear from you. The weather has finally cooled off, which is why the mites are back.
MIL is still with us, but incredibly weak, not eating any more, sleeping most of the day. The signs are saying not much longer now, but the signs said that a month ago. Hubs has been up caring for her since a week ago Monday. He has completely taken over her care and even sleeps in her room. She gets up to try to walk and ends up falling, so unless they tie her in bed, someone has to be ready to catch her. Kids are fine. Older one started full time work this week and the younger is happy because he is changing schools and starts 3 weeks later than his old school.

How are your darlings? Getting ready for back to school?
Also, did you see my post on the previous page? Some info about snake repellent.

I did! Thanks. I was wondering if a few bars of fels-naphtha in chicken-proof cage might work?

They're good. We have not done any sort of routine so they've been staying up til 9:30-10 and waking up whenever. This week will be hard on all of us. They start tomorrow! This year the school asked for $25 from every student instead of sending a supplies list. I'm extremely skeptical, because the school can't manage to do anything right. I ordered medium shirts for DD in the spring but they "ran out" so I had to get smalls. I'm pretty frustrated by that.

You guys want a good laugh? My old dog lets me know when he wants to go out, but he was too late today. I made it down stairs just in time to see him poop. Cleaned it up, carried on. Just now i was walking through the great room and stepped barefoot right in more poo. Guess i need to get my glasses on! Ugh!

I feel for you. At least you weren't walking barefoot in the dark in the middle of the night and stepped in poo.

I did that, stepped in poo, had to hobble over a baby gate to get to the bathroom. With a full bladder. Not fun.

Trying to clean up the house, not my fav thing. Slowly getting there. Most of the island is cleared off, most of the dishes are washed, papers sorted. If it stays sunny i should mow, also not a fav activity. The hummingbird feeder got cleaned and filled and the female came right up to me again. Amazing creatures! The brooder awaits cleaning and i need to get the mail. The dog is dying to play fetch , sigh.
So excited hubby is coming home!
