Granny's gone and done it again

I did the same thing when i was a teen. Never felt the nail until my shoe filled up with liquid... blood!
I have actually done it twice! First time, part of a barn wall fell down in a bad storm where I was renting. I was walking around to see how bad it was and didn't notice all the nails sticking straight up out of the fallen wall. I didn't even feel it, but could not lift my foot to take the next step. It was a very strange sensation. That one didn't get infected either!

Hi pertnear! Sorry, I was off frying fish! Did you have a good visit with your family? Had to look up Abilene, and good thing you aren't in the danger zone for Harvey. Sounds like the Houston area is going to get dumped on. Hope Kiki has some floaties!

Hello, my gkids just left
Nap time for you! :D How old are they... boys... girls?

Hello, my grandkids have never been here but their mother wants them to see snow so i figure they will show up this winter.
How far away are they? My youngest son want to experience snow falling. He's been up to the Sierras to play in the snow, but says it's not the same as seeing it actually snow. It's on his bucket list. Should a 15 yr old have a bucket list?

My grandkids range from 2 to 7 years old. Boys on each end, two girls in the middle. They live near Sarasota FL on the west coast and we live in Southwest Virginia. 12-14 hour drive depending on the driver and traffic. My son gets little vacation time and i have no pet sitters.
