Baby Roadster was acting weak when I went out earlier, maybe chilled? Racecar didn't seem to be doing a good job of warming her. I'm tempted to bring her in.

Good day at the farm. Got another 3 five gallon buckets of taters today. Rolled up the electric fence wire and pulled the posts from the temporary pasture the yearlings were in. Got the ac out of Robert's wall and insulated for the winter. And a couple other piddle things done.

Tomorrow pull the beets and get the ditches mowed and pick up a bunch of layer. Work a little on the chute for the calves/;yearlings. Rod found a guy with feed oats. Going to see if he can/could deliver and how much extra that would be.

Was in upper 60's today and supposed to be warmer the rest of the week.

We have a wood stove and bbq, so no lack of cooking possibilities even if the power is out. The bbq even has a burner on the side to cook other food.
I just like the instant heat and instant off you get with propane. I tend to burn stuff on electric stove, but he does most of the cooking.

Or try a hot water bottle ?? Would be terrible to loose another one. IMHO

OH that's a tuffy then sort of "cook's choice" personally I will never own another electric stove BUT love electric for baking which works as I LOVE wall ovens.

Sounds like a good day. Beets sound good. I had plans but did not get any planted. Been years since i ate any. Maybe i will buy some.

I have no birds at all laying eggs, but i am thinking come Easter i will have loads!
What is everyone up to tonight? I managed to wash dishes today while the water heated for my tea! Electric stoves are so slow! I really love propane but have not managed to talk DH into it yet.
Laying in bed with drops in my ear, i have so much fun! Just got back from poking the fires on the other side of the chicken coop. It is cooling off fast. I worked all day comfortably wearing shorts and a tshirt, but i will definitely wear more clothes when i go out to check the fires later. It is supposed to go down to 39 tonight! Brrr!
I still have some work i want to do on my coop, install more perches inside and open up more ventilation over top of the door.
Don't know if i have the energy to go out and work on the cat scratch tower tonight. I really do want to finish it. 2 more shelves should not take all that long. Maybe after i have some tea.

Sounds like a good day. Beets sound good. I had plans but did not get any planted. Been years since i ate any. Maybe i will buy some.

Will start processing them on Weds. Pickled and frozen for regular eating. Found a recipe for a beet relish with horseradish that sounds interesting/good might make a batch of that as well.
