Quote: Not exactly crunchy. Start it on the stove, finish in the oven.
Quote: Noooooo! So far it's been a quail hawk, a dove hawk, and possibly a jay hawk (but there weren't enough feathers on that for confirmation). I don't want it to be a serama hawk!![]()
I just meant its the size of a serama . I hope it dont get them too !Not exactly crunchy. Start it on the stove, finish in the oven.

I hope not too. One other thing I noticed while looking up in the grapefruit tree... something has been stripping bark off the branches. Looks like I will lose several large limbs.I know it's the rats. Finally got my snap traps. Putting them in the shed unset with peanut butter to get them used to the traps being there, and being a source of food. I will set them after they eat the bait regularly. Then SNAP! SNAP! SNAP!![]()
Quote: Because they're rats! They will eat some citrus, but I haven't noticed that. Those grapefruit are too bitter.
But for most trees there is a layer just under the bark called the cambium, that is pretty edible and sweet. Remember that. It could save your life the next time you get lost in the wilderness.![]()
