Pfft, no. Like 10 minutes twice a day. I even offered just once a day. Anyway, Mollie will do it. I'm paying her the $50 and letting her keep any eggs she finds. I've got one hona pullet laying every couple of days.

Are your dogs going to be there?

Yeah 10 minutes a day Is nothing. Do you lock up your birds at night? Or do you have an automatic door?

Good job for a neighbors, esp if you get your fertile eggs to hatch..

We're taking Jewel with us and leaving Jasper with the friends who dogsat Ben for us last year. I usually lock the pop doors at night, but I haven't see signs of predators in a long time so I'm willing to leave the pop doors open as long as the gate to the pen is closed. The honas will be locked in the coop/run. They're going to hate it, and it will be a little crowded, but it's less than two weeks. They'll survive.

It's official, I *really* need to find a job --- I have decided to take up crocheting..........I have vague memories of doing some as a very young child with my grandma, but never really did much with it beyond some very basic stuff and that was like 30 years ago, so this should be interesting. Got DH off to work, DS off to school and Z and I just got back from the park so time to shower, dress and head off to WalMart for some yarn and a hook......

Going to get chicken feed this morning. I like to go about an hour away for the organic stuff.. if I go to the mill it's almost the same price of feed at TSC. I have been feeding feather fixer since no one is laying. It is not cheap. 13.99 for 40 lbs. and that is the cheapest feed store. They had coupons for three dollars off a bag but they are gone now.

Need to stock up because I have a dog due to give birth next Monday. I won't be able to leave for a few days.

got all the official paper work filled out for the 4 calves (3 pages per animal) on the part where it asks for current ear tang number I put why bother you will just change it again.

Will wait to send them in as I still need pictures and DNA and IF I want the pic of the calves on their web site it has to be the old fashioned type. Also it's $65.00 per animal. As they still need to do some type of DNA test. Heaven forefend they actually believe their members

Guess I am still in a bit of a mood. Probably do to stress which will remain until the paperwork on the refinance is done.

Good news the calves are playing , going into the horse trailer with no human encouragement. So at least they do not view it(trailer) as a giant monster that swallows them whole.
