Granny's gone and done it again

Oh no Twist that weather sounds grim

it wouldn't be so bad but he has a very bad heart, and only 1 and 1/2 feet so not too sturdy when trying to walk on uneven ground. I think he can always call the county sherrif or emergency services they might be able to help or my good neighbor to the east, only 2 miles and he has some honking big tractor's with cabs.

ON the bright side at least everything in the freezers is safe from de-frosting    so no loss of food.   I know the yaks can and do eat snow for water and the adults have access to the big pasture.   Rod loaded all the feeders and then another pile of feed for the calves and adults. And they can also eat their straw.

Chickens maybe be on their own.
Oh no Twist that weather sounds grim :(

it's not good.   What is making it really tuff is the wind  and the freezing mist we had earlier today.   power lines and poles are down all over.

Yes that wind is a beast! The weight of ice is bringing them down then?

Oh goodness he's up against it with his heart and feet problems. Think if I were him I would be getting the tractor running and warmed up just incase!

my tractor is probably to small and no cab. I think a combo of ice weight and the wind

Can't you get your neighbour ready just incase he has to go?

I do hope you will all be ok including the animals, all this makes my hangover

pretty trivial.
All the animals should be fine. YET another reason I chose yaks instead if miniature cattle So it's just him and abby. he is supposed to call me in about a half hour and let me know what he is going/planning. He could also spend the night in his truck up in the quancett and just leave the truck running and also right new to the bulk gas tank.

Oh geez ! Make sure he goes over to the propane and put lots of socks on . He cant feel the cold on his feet. Your 4 wheeler ? To a neighbor?

Praying.

I dont like that idea, what if the snow blocks the tail pipe?

they managed to break the big 4 wheeler and the little one isn't going to get thru the drifts, but he doesn't want to try yet to even leave the farm. there are back roads out to the farm so you don't need the interstate but they are probably blown in/ plugged as well His truck is 4 wheel drive also he has no cell phone.
