Granny's gone and done it again

Red kite! That is something that I would love to see! They are very VERY rare in Israel ! Ee have planty of black kite (common kite?) Milvus milvus but no red kite! We have here 3 species of kingfishers here
Oh. Well they're getting more and more common here! I don't think I've seen a common kite before. That third one is stunning! The one I saw was the second one, he was very small.
Its the Pied kingfisher, a virtuosic flyer! [VIDEO]

I like the idea of consignment shops for some of the older or more valuable things. My sentimental attachment would be alleviated by the thought of some deserving kid loving my old toys (happy Toy Story dreams!) and getting a little money for things will overcome my aversion to waste. There must some places in town that will take things, I shall have to search! The barn up at the old farm is full of grandma and grandpa's old things, and everything from my parents will be there too. I keep thinking I will get a jump on it and start the purge, but realize I need to start with my own stuff first!

Benny, I love kingfishers. My favorite! We have plainer ones here.

Belted Kingfisher, female. The males don't have the rust color. I haven't seen one in ages (13 years ago in October on my wedding day, to be exact!)

There is a large dying pine tree right outside, and the woodpeckers have been going to town on it! My hubs got some good shots of our local pileated woodpecker, but I haven't loaded them on the computer, so can't share right now. They are quite large birds...

I would start with the grandparent's stuff maybe you won't recognize it and can purge more and hopefully as you move closer to your own stuff generationally speaking it we get easier. And if not you now have room to store the "treasures"

When my family raised beef cows we just fed em grass and hay.
yea but I am showing in 4H so we need to keep weight up :/ plus we don't have her in the 3 acre pasture, she in the smaller one with the goats. She does get hay but needs grains for extra.

None the less animal protein shouldnt be in bovine feed or really ANY livestock feed minus hog and poultry, the irony is though I can barely find feed for those animals with animal protein :/
