I'm not sure, on either count. They're still peeping, so I assume eventually the males stop peeping for that breathy huff sound. I moved them from the breezeway to the goat pen last night, and they definitely all still peeped. Pretty sure the black is male, and the white one looking up at the work. They take turns leading the others around.

I thought so too about the black and big white, but pictures can be deceiving... mostly they look the same size. Hope you get a lot of females, you know, for eggs.

And stop showing such cute pics of them because now I really want some!!

I experienced the most beautiful sunset on my way home!

Beautiful! I can see the crescent moon and venus from our skylight, but this is the best picture I can get, which is awful! lol.

They mostly look the same in person, too. I need to try for close up pics, because all the white ones have pretty blue eyes! The blue ones have silver/gray eyes.

I'll let you know! I ran out of the stuff I use for sinks/counters. I used to just do plain vinegar, but it burns my nose so bad. For the dishwasher I think my pod recipe with borax and citric acid will help. I've been adding vinegar. The glasses and silver wear have like a film now that they didn't before.

Yeah - I know vinegar & water is good for cleaning, but I get tired of the smell.....I am too attached to the "good smelly" cleaning stuff.

OY - this bug DH was kind enough to share is kicking my butt. Got up and drugged myself up good yesterday to go in for the interview, not sure how I feel it went but feeling kind of hopeful I guess. This one is in the "Aging and Disabilities" department, which was my pet project area when I worked in community action so would love to get on with them but who knows......if this goes on much longer I'll just go the retail route. It's frustrating because there are TONS of jobs that are right up my alley not all that far from here, but the traffic here is such that it may only be a 30 mile drive, but it can take up to 2 hours on any given day....the joys of there only being one way to get between here and the city.

COLD here - not supposed to get above freezing for about a week. On the upside, when it's that cold at least it's not muddy. Thinking I may have to put off the trip to mom/sisters that I was supposed to make this weekend - between being sick and not wanting to risk infecting any of them and the freezing rain we're supposed to get over the weekend it just isn't looking like a good idea.....which sucks because that is the thing I was looking forward to the most right now.

@Wishing4Wings --- I meant to post this sooner, had to laugh when I saw what Ranger did with the envelope I got from you --- maybe he wanted me to send you back a surprise? He played in that thing for over an hour and was very upset with me when I disposed of it....

Oh man. I was getting the poultry puppy eyes this morning. That nugget!!!

Sparkles is not impressed they're staying at the old house. But we'll be making the space for them with the tractor this weekend so...hopefully will be able to move them over Sunday or so.
