This area used to be smack in the middle class.  Then the vineyards came in and jacked up the real estate prices, then the dot.com.ers discovered "quaint" Sonoma county.  And that's all she wrote. I always joke that it's now the high rent district here. There are some good paying jobs, but it takes just about all of it to afford living here.  Still, better than Silicon Valley.  Extremely expensive and crowded.  No thanks.  We think about retiring and moving farther north where there are still small towns and room to breathe.  Northern California wants to split off from the rest of the state...  make the Sate of Jefferson.  If that were to ever happen, think I'd rather be up there! 

We go to a dog show up the coast eureka or Fernley. It's nice up there.

I enjoyed roller skating  but  ice skating was to hard on my ankles   and all of our rinks were outside   burr cold   discovered the joys of hiding in the warming house  early 

Ice skating is hard on my butt.
