Granny's gone and done it again

It's not the best. I get really frustrated. All the moms and teachers my age went there together and their grandmas and moms taught. We've been here six years, and DD has been here pre-k thru 2nd and we're still treated like outsiders. :rant

your not on the PTA ?  hahaaa

I don't even think they have one? They all hang out together at each other's houses. Remember that time I went to the bday party and no one would talk to me?

Hey y'all just popping in. Dang camping and I thought it was bad here. You can't even pick which teacher each year, you're just stuck. How far is your next closest school?

Btw I've just about gave up on my other Australorp. No eggs, tiny comb that's red but she has some weird colored ears. All of the others have been laying for about a month.

There's one not far, but we're not in that district. There's a much bigger, much better one about 30 minutes away, also a diff district and a diff parish.

I hear you there! As much as I loved the elementary our kids went to back in Indiana, I never felt like we were truly accepted by those that were "locals" who had been there for generations --- DD was half way through 1st grade when we moved there and DS was there from K-5 (6 is when they moved into town to the middle/high schools which were huge by comparison given that K-5 had a total of 150 kids).
Felt better by the time I got home. Did work at chicken pens while Gd napped.
Glad you got to feeling better!

I didnt really get anything done. Cleaned out 3 brooders, did the old age tax credit. made meatloaf sandwiches and lady showed up to do paper work for Robert . That took a couple hrs. away.
Thought you said you didn't get anything done???

Why not rice?

Rice works in these too, but I prefer the flax seeds for their shape/size and the oils in them -- they just provide an overall better result, imo.....but have made these same bags using rice when I didn't have ready access to the flax.

She many surprise you yet - but there are some that just never do. We had one BO out of the three in our last flock that was like that. She was always a little smaller, slower and somewhat "off" than the rest and was definitely low bird on the totem pole - had her just over two years and never produced a single egg, but she was a favorite for us humans so she got to stick around and be a free loader, lol.
