Careful - it's only safer if she's not a kicker......

I think it's past now. We didn't lose power. Kids are fine. I dragged DD off the top bunk and had her sit in the hall with me, now she's too scared to go back to bed.
So glad it's past, poor DD, that kind of thing can be so scary for them.

The best little whorehouse in Texas ?

One of the greatest movies ever, lol.
I think he is old fashioned... in a good way. I loved when he was signing all of the cabinet nominations with his entire family in the room and other politicians surrounding him... kids playing, baby crying, people chatting and joking... nothing bugged him at all. Seemed to be used to it. He is a good grandpa!

I really admire their whole family --- I just hate that no matter what he accomplishes it will NEVER be enough for the detractors and they will find a way to make it all negative.

Those "protestors" are the same kind that destroy downtown Oakland time and time again. Can never understand whay they aren't arrested. They are not protestors. Ask any one of them what they are protesting and they cannot give an answer that makes sense.

Exactly - they aren't protestors, they are rioters! Living just outside the city limits of the land of perpetual "protest" I have no patience for that crap --

My grandma well into her 70s said she didn't understand old people who couldn't sleep. I think dementia has her off schedule now, but until very recently she would go to bed at a "normal" hour, sleep through the night, and wake up at a decent time.

That stirred up a memory: we stayed the night with her all the time, and I used to love sneaking up while it was still dark out and watching her make coffee. It was like some sort of grandma magic to be awake like that.

Edit: that's all to say I come from a long line of hoarders and professional sleepers. :yesss:
