Granny's gone and done it again

I look at their chicks once in a while.
I have pretty much all of their breeds permanently stuck in my brain

Habari ya asubuhi (this morning's greeting in honor of all the times I asked my children, "Am I speaking Swahili?")

A beautiful PNW day here -- just warm enough to give false hope that spring is here, lol. Got up and out early to tidy the yard (sounds more fun than "scoop the poop") and do more thinking on the coop plans.......I think I am set on a location and general plan, then DH stopped by to drop off some lumber from his work (not for the coop

but still for something he's building for me, so I forgave him, lol) so I showed him what I was thinking and while he is completely on board with the location and general plan I laid out he says, "Well, in that case maybe you want to go with the other coop you had picked out." ........... so, kind of back to square one on just what we are building -- just a matter of whether its more an a gable type building or a lean-to look, but that's kind of an important decision that has to be made before any supplies or actual building can take place.....it's the style I wanted when I took the two options to DH/FIL and they talked me into the other one

. I did tell him that I intended to have the $$$ ready to go next week so he'd better start getting a real plan in place to get started on construction, not sure he expected that but I'd love to have it done and get my chicks by the end of February so........

Just sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting for my mom to get here -- not sure what we're going to do today, but sure we'll figure out something. She's bringing her friend, Sharon, with her so maybe we'll go out to lunch or something.........IDK.........

Mare, sounds like you might just need to grab a hammer , steal his wood and start putting them together outside. LOL I hope you have a good day w/ your mom.

I had a horrible night. I am sore this day but other then that ok.

Sorry you had a bad night - just not sleeping or not sleeping because of pain?
Granny, I carried dh to emergency room yesterday. He has cellulitis in his foot & the infection has run his blood sugar up to 450. They admitted him & is on his 3rd bag of iv antibiotic & being given insulin shots. His blood sugar has not gone below 320 yet. Dr hasn t come yet this morning but 3 doctors saw him yesterday. They have done test for blood clots & blood flow in his legs.
Oh, Jane, so glad you took him in -- that is nothing to mess around with as it can turn very bad very fast, had a friend back in Indiana that ended up in the hospital a few times dealing with it and nearly lost his leg twice. Will be thinking of you both and praying for a full and fast recovery for your DH!

According to the swedish standard only green sheen is acceptable. Too bad, because I like the purple.

Standard, schmandard, lol.......the purple is so pretty!
Morning Granny.
I was going to look through my pictures to show you my old Shih tzu.
but it is quicker for me to goole a pic for you...

I kept my girls hair JUST like this...IT WAS WORK!
I would brush her daily with a brush similar to what H2O posted.
I also used my conditioner and human detangled spray on her.
I think I had to cut knots out only 2 or 3 times...
but I did brush her daily.
They are such a pretty little dog, but the coat is SOOOO much work if kept long and kept right.
